It could be that the Amcrest cameras sometimes create corrupted jpeg images? One of the app users gave me access to one of his Amcrest cameras to test the Digest Authentication and every few seconds, I would get a flicker from it even in the mjpeg stream, so I ported my code to a windows application because I have better debugging options there, just to make sure is not my code the problem. The application waits for a new jpeg before it shows it on the screen, when I set the application to use the snapshot URL for my cameras, I get no flicker. One more thing, I don't know what resolution your camera has, but it you get the snapshot it very high resolution, can you try to see it works better if you lower the resolution? What model camera do you have? I should probably buy an Amcrest camera because it seems that they are popular and my software has a problem with them. ![]() I tested the code on several brands, Axis, Panasonic, D-link and I don't get any flicker from those cameras. I guessed that his camera is at fault, but if you get the same flicker, could be something in their firmware maybe?. Every few seconds, the jpg received from his Amcrest camera was indeed corrupt. Has anyone succeeded with this, or can recommend another, hopefully free Roku app? Thank you so much. I probably have something funky with the settings in IP Camera Viewer. However, all the same info works fine on my desktop machine (closed all apps on the desktop and regenerated the URL on the Wyze app, just in case), so I do know the RTSP stream itself is actually working. Port 554, username and password were correct, "/live" in the URL field, and IP address was proper (just numbers and periods). I tried one Roku app called IP Camera Viewer but, even after what I thought was proper configuration, it just spun around and around and didn't do anything. In my case, the Streaming Stick, but I also have a TCL Roku TV which basically is the same brains. I was wondering if anyone has tried (successfully?) to RTSP to a Roku device? In my ongoing question to have my WyzeCam v2 RTSP displaying on a screen somewhere (front door cam). ![]() We know that our camera won’t be perfect for everyone so if someone has a problem feel free to make a recommendation!
